YouTube Account Verification Questions

Geekazoid

Hi guys,

Just have a couple of quick questions to ask relating to YouTube Account Verification.

Okay, they are as follows:

• Who here has verified their YouTube Account?

• After doing so, did your phone number get spammed (AKA: Bugged by telemarketers and other unwanted phone calls)?

I've been thinking about verifying my YouTube account so that I can unlock additional features on it but don't want to then get bugged by crap.

Any help is great guys, thank you. :D

------------------------EDIT--------------------------

Okay, so I've added a couple of polls to

further clarify that YouTube don't bug you.

I know I don't need to verify my account but I would like to unlock additional features such as custom thumbnails for my videos.

I don't think putting using a fake number would work as they actually give you a code to use to unlock the additional features.

Okay, so you're saying you've never gotten any unwanted calls after giving YouTube/Google your phone number?

I have also given my number, haven't got any calls etc. I think that a company like Google cannot afford to mess with peoples numbers.

Hmm, I was worried about the usual things that happen when you give your number for some things. These things are that the company sells your number to other companies who then bug you and ring up to sell whatever they are trying to sell or maybe some other garbage that you just don't want or need.
