Room to basement internet problems.

Hey friends, 

 

Having a bit of an internet issue that I need some help with. Currently, my mdoem is located in my basement, but my office is two floors up. This holds my PS5 and desktop. I've managed to get an ethernet cable through the stairs and give me access to one wired connection. However, I would like to somehow get more wired connections so I do not have to keep switching the wire between devies and not be able to use them simultaneously. I am not too good with internet so I'm not sure what would help me out in this case. Is there some sort of splitter, another router, or a switch that can help me out in my room? All advice is apprecaiated.

As mentioned above a switch is what you are looking for, I’ve used this one in the past without issues:
