Vsync is not working great.

Kijlok25

For the past 2 weeks I have found some issues while running games.

For some reason when I turn VSync on(60hz) it always goes to 55 and jumps back to 60. And it really makes games unplayable. Without VSync it's always above 70FPS but it feels laggy to me because I have always used VSync.

GIGABYTE RTX 2070 SUPER 8GB

RYZEN 5 3600

CORSAIR VENGENCE 2400MHZ

AB350 GAMING MOTHERBOARD

CORSAIR 650W PSU

I tried to reset the PC

Tried to DDU the drivers and nothing helped.

So what happened prior to these 2 weeks? What did you do (or not do, as the case may be)

And why did you do this? What FPS were you running prior to the reset?

Was there any update? sometimes driver updates and such can really mess things up... if there was you could try reverting to the previous one... (use DDU again if it's indeed GPU driver and install the previous version)

The fps was high the issue is it is stuttering. Every like 4 seconds there is a small but very noticable lag that brings me to 45-58FPS and then it jumps back to 60

What are you using for storage?

Also, how are your internet speeds and packet loss (that last one is critical to measure)

My internet is great and I realized something new. No matter the graphics the issue still occurs. When its low and when its EPIC

So a componant issue perhaps?

That is a possibility, we can't rule that out. Unfortunately the only way to test that, is replace parts one at a time until you find the issue.

I'd start with the GFX card, assuming you don't have massive packet loss (which can, and should be, tested for)
