Hey,

So my current rig is the following:

Asus Prime B450M-A

Ryzen 5 3600

RTX 2080TI

550W PSU

1TB NVME

32GB 3200MHZ Memory.

I play a lot of CoD (MW & CW) , I get about 140 FPS on MW and 150-160 FPS on CW. I'm thinking of upgrading my CPU but wondering how much of a performance difference it's going to make to games and also looking to find out whether my current rig is bottlenecked anywhere. Looking to upgrade to the Ryzen 7 5800X once theres stock (Will probably end up upgrading my MB and PSU to cope with all the new upgrades).

what res you playing on? COD MW and CW use a lot cpu resources so going 5800x you should see a nice fps pump. But that motherboard is very crappy so it wont probably handle 5800x well at all,

I play 1080p as my gaming monitor is 1080p 144Hz. Aren't all MBmanufacturers meant to be releasing a BETA bios for 400 series chipesets to support Ryzen 5000 series?. What makes this MB crappy? I got it as part of a prebuilt (Yes don't judge, I bought it for convenience).

Bad VRMS. it can handle only 50A. 3600 produces around 40A but 5800X around 80-100A depending on the cooling.

I don't know what world you're living in where that board can only handle 50 amps. Let me hazard a guess. You use the mobo tier list 🤣

Black Lightning
Intel Core i5-3570K @ 4.7 ghz

Asrock Z77 Extreme4-M
2x8 GB 1600 MHz Crucial Ballistix Sport
MSI R9 290X Lightning
Corsair Crystal 280X Black RGB
240 GB Revodrive 3, 64 GB Sandisk SSD

EVGA Supernova 1200 P2
Noctua NH-C14S

Well it is mostly accurate. And the VRMs are rated at 50A. You cannot say that hey are cabable for more.

Since you mocked me tell me what VRMs it uses and how much they are cabable and if the baord has passive cooling on them?

To answer. prime b450-K can only supply 50A. Also no cooling on the VRMs.

For one, no it is not.

For two, that is 46 amps per phase (which is the rating for the high sides) if you want to claim what it is rated. Or do you not know what phases are?

This is the B450M-A, and that's still wrong.

Before I get some nonsensical response saying I know nothing because I say it's a good board, it's not a good board, I never said it was, but you seem to be the type to claim I did.

4 4C10Bs rated at 46 amps each, and 8 4C06Bs rated at 69 amps each. You obviously cannot run that much current through them like that, but you talk about rating and likely don't understand anything on the datasheet, let alone what those ratings you mention even are or what they mean.
