LG GL-850.

It's $500, 144Hz 1440p, IPS, has Freesync so it'll work with both Nvidia and AMD, also has surprisingly good color once calibrated. I use one at work, it replaced an old (and expensive) NEC 60Hz color-accurate-for-the-time 1440p IPS. The 144Hz is really helpful for eye-relief.

This new Lenovo is really good option. And while the LG GL850 recommended above isn't a bad monitor either, the lenovo is slightly better for the same price.

Play around with this table tool to search for more options. You can add more filters from the add column button.

And lastly, I would recommend you read the sticky as it has lots of good information that will help you understand the reviews.

I’ll check them out and yeah I browsed that a little, I’m terrible when it comes to displays and such which is why I ask, get a few opinions and such and then look up reviews and stuff to make a choice.

Seems like the 27" Samsung G7 on sale for $550.

It's the best VA panel out there, but the curviture is really agressive. It also had some problems with quality control, but some people here have said those things have been fixed.

I guess the Samsung G7 will be a good match for your 2080 Super. I own the Lenovo Y27Q-20, and it is working really good for me, but if I am still thinking on getting a 1440p - Since it is the sweet spot -  I will choose the G7 for sure.

For a 1440p panel, I really like the LG GL850. IPS means you're getting accurate color, none of the dark stuff VA panels have, and none of the crappy viewing angles that TN panels do.

I have the 1080p version of the GL850, the GL650, and it's surprisingly good for a 27" 1080p display with little to no screen door effect, and calibrated color that's within spitting distance of my NEC PA272W I use at work.

I prefer IPS too, But I think the G7 with its QLED Technology may surpass some of the best IPS panels available in the market.
