EVGA Hadron Air Build

RyAn_Z

It was cheaper and didn't have integrated graphics, i don't see the point in paying for something i won't use. The Xeon was 280 vs 360 for the i7, the money I saved went towards upgrading other components

fixed the gallery, how do i change the title?easy mistake to make but funny though.

were are you located because I played 220$ for my Xeon

Wait...in Canada:

Xeon 1230v3:  $259.99 4 cores 8 threads

i5 4670K: $254.99 4 cores 4 threads

i7 4770: $324.99 4 cores 8 threads (200MHz high boost)

Would overclocking yield that much better performance in professional apps and games? Because the Xeon is looking like a steal right now!

Awesome build sir!  :)

Rig: Lian Li PC-V353 i5 2500K, GA-Z68MA-D2H, EVGA GTX 650, CM Gemiin S524, Corsair TX650M, Crucial M4 128GB, Seagate 1TB Barracuda, Fiio E10

I live in Australia so the prices are higher:

Xeon 1230v3: $300

i5 4670k: $275

i7 4770: $355

I don't think a i5 would overclock to the same performance as the Xeon, a cherry picked one might. If your curious about the Xeon's performance, it is the same as a 3770k. Anyway i don't think it is worth the extra heat and power usage overclocking to save $25, and for you $5. Id go with the Xeon again any day.

I got my Xeon for $290 so i'm happy, the only thing is make sure your bios version is compatible, as it was released after the i5's and i7's.

Australia

the Xeon is the same as a 4770 with a .1mhz down clock. Also in America it is definitely worth it. Picked mine up for 220$
