Hi guys, will 240hz and high response times help with clarity in motion, ei looking around in game things are blurry when moving the mouse

I currently have a ips 144hz panle 4ms response time but I’m looking at a 240hz va panle with 1ms

the only reason I want to upgrade is for being able to see better why the camera is moving

what are your thoughts

Clarity has a lot do with the technology you use.

That is why I moved to OLED for 4k gaming.

This video shows it better than I can explain it.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x9n8Hz_RLqw&t=637s

I am not going to get games like Assassin's Creed Valhalla much over 60 at 4k so OLED is the answer for me now.

Its one part of it for sure.

one of the newer 'fast' IPS displays is ur best bet in that regard. Or better yet, a OLED (TV only, 48" smallest)

You also need to ensure you have any in game motion blur disabled.

There will always be an amount of blur present, persistence blur of the 'sample and hold' technique used by modern displays, BFI can be used to mitigate it but that in itself comes with its own issues when combined with LCD tech, strobe crosstalk (image duplication).

Yeah, it definitely can help with it, a modern 240Hz panel will improve it. There are high end OLED 4K 120Hz TVs but they're still 120Hz and they're huge. So yeah...

We're in weird spot for now, before MicroLED actually comes to consumer market.

I wish they would just make a bad boy 1440p crt monitor and just work on that tech as it was miles better than what we have today
