Making a NAS

Go to solution Solved by Windows7ge,

There's many types of GNU/Linux distros for building your own NAS. FreeNAS being one of them. ZFS allows you to create a striped volume (RAID0) but using disks of the same capacity is recommended on ZFS. I can't say it will work/work well with mixed disks.

So I have a computer and I want to try it in to a NAS any tips?

Also I was wondering if their is a way to run all or my hard drive in it in RAID 0 using software?
