Connecting cheap Chinese 6 pin fans to 3 pin RGB controller with an adapter: is it possible?

I have a PC with fans using 6 pin connectors from China, which are not standard. I am planning on using a controller with 3 pin fan connectors, and I found this adapter on Aliexpress that theoretically converts the 6 pin connector to a 3 pin one. Will this work at all?

It looks like the adapter is ment to convert 3 pin to 6 pin, so you could use "chinese" controller.

Depends, i don't think there is any standardized pinout for 6 pin fans.
