I have a PC with fans using 6 pin connectors from China, which are not standard. I am planning on using a controller with 3 pin fan connectors, and I found this adapter on Aliexpress that theoretically converts the 6 pin connector to a 3 pin one. Will this work at all?

Yes, I do have a RGB controller pre-installed in my case. My case is Deepcool matrexx 55 add-rgb.

I assume that this cable is supposed to be used for the RGB case fans, since they are connected to the front pannel where the pre-installed fans are. But I just can't find a port anywhere to plug this thing in. It is a 3-pin connector with +5V, D, and GND written on each pin.
