Obviously, the gt 1030 would be a bit disappointing, so my question is if a 275w would be enough. (pc is dell optiplex 7010 mt)

It draws at max 75W so you're on the edge of it either not working at all or just barely works. I would get a new PSU.

probably not because your PSU most likely will be low quality and a good 300w PSU is recommended "minimum" for 1050ti

okay, is there a better alternative that'd help me get the most out of the psu?

Not really. That PSU is really meant for iGPU only configurations.

I've built MULTIPLE Dell machines in my time..
Since then I've made a few Battlebox's,..
i7 3770's with 16GB Ram in a Dell Optiplex (Small Form Factor, those thinner ones) and used Multiple GTX1050Ti 75w GPU's just fine across multiple systems.
Using a 240w PSU internally on all of them.

It'll likely be just fine.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

Did you by any chance get them from Cashies?

Nah random good deals on gumtree auatralia.

I7 3770 SFF, 16GB 1600Mhz DDR3 , 500GB HDD, Windows7 x64Pro Key for $200-240 Australian dollars.

Throw in any SSD,...+1050TI/1650 and while a little warm for the GPU in a small space, I drilled 5 holes (15mm holes) on the side panel where the GPU fans intake cooler air from. 79c down to 74*c give or take..

well there's one that did it himself so I would mostly follow that route since it's from experience ... it might not work all the time but the chances it works are quite high ... just don't buy a card that needs a supplemental power connector.

I9 10850K

EVGA RTX 3080 TI FTW3 ULTRA

32 Gb Crucial Balistix ddr4 3600mHz 16-18-18-38

MSI Z490 Tomahawk

Fractal Design Ion+ 860W platinum

Arctic Liquid Freezer II, 360mm

WB Black SN750 NVMe ssd

TeamGroup L5 3D Lite 1 Tb sata SSD
