Is there a better GPU than GT 710 2gb GDDR5 for less than 20w?

I can only use up to 20w GPU. I think I found the best GPU for that power consumption which is the GT 710 2gb GDDR5. But maybe there are better?

Nope, even lower TDP GPUs that are faster are only available as soldered solutions (so you'll find them in laptops)

the next stup up is the 30w GT 1030.

thank you, so gt 710 it is! Unless I can undervolt the gt 1030? The problem is I only have 7.5 amps on the 12v rail, and the CPU is 65w. so I can have exactly 25w extra (65+25=90w > 90/12 = 7.5 amps)

Are you sure you have that much spare?  A quick Google suggests you should add 3W for each stick of memory and 5-10W for mainboard chipset.


What storage device are you using and does that pull off the 12v rail at all?

There's also that little detail that TDP does not equal maximum draw.  Depending on the CPU, the actual power draw can be considerably more than its TDP rating, thus why you often need a 200W cooler for a 95W CPU.

Speaking of coolers, what about any fans as they pull off 12v too.

You're right. There's 1 4-pin case/cpu fan (It's in the intake of the case but 1cm away from the CPU cooler. I heard the opposite: That usually 95w is the maximum peak, speaking of when overclocking, and that it's actually less than 95w for those CPUs. but anyway I will go with a 65w cpu (like the current) just to be sure. 

 

So the specs are:

1x 65w CPU

1x 4-pin case/cpu fan: 2w~

1x SanDisk SSD Plus = 3w~ (But it's actually from the 5v rail?)

4x DDR2 sticks = 5w~? (If more, I'll just use 2 sticks)

So far the total is 70w, so that leaves me with exactly 20w left.

Which means I can be on the limit of using a gt 710 that consumes 19w? Or I forgot something?
