Advice!

Stygian Zenith

Hello! This is my first ever Black Friday where ACTAULLY have money for some good deals. I'm kinda new to this and was wondering any advice on finding good deals for the upcoming black friday? My budget is $78 and the things i want to get were:

Microphone- (don't have one, and I would like to do voiceovers, dosent have to be usb but preferred)

Custom Loop parts- (Want to do a custom loop and will be buying things like fans, radiators, pump/resovir etc. I'll buy the parts overtime)

And that's pretty much it! Anyways thanks!

Please leave some good advice on how to find the best deals, (will be buying primarily instore but online is still possible)

Also I'm in Australia

You can't really get both, so you would have to choose one or another with your  budget. The Fifine K699B is a good mic for it's price

geometry is hard
b550 > x570

@Ankh Techhave u found anything thats good for my combination?

well,  your case is a bit small, and the gp oc doesn't have a waterblock, so it will be a cpu only loop, so basically an aio, so no point in that, get a mic

Even if you went bottom of the barrel, this is REALLY not a good idea. Blocks for any of these are going to be more than the parts themselves (are currently worth).

@Den-Fido u mean the value of it being sold?

No, I mean literally wasting money. A block for a 2060 Super (if you can find one that fits your card) is about $150 on average. In my personal opinion, none of em even look good. https://www.primochill.com/collections/rtx-2060

I could see doing a CPU block since you can always upgrade to a better CPU.... but this just seems like a waste unless you pick up a used block.

Loops add up quickly. By the time you have all your fittings and tubing and radiators, you'll end up with a $600 loop to cool $300 worth of parts that see 0 benefit from a loop.

@Den-Fi Okay thanks! Now I know i won't be wasting money because of a custom loop.

Good call! They're a lot of fun, but never a wise investment lol.

Save it for when you have disposable income.

@Den-FiWTF! i was about to close primochill and realized the price was in usd so i was curious and converted it to aud then add 18 percenmt tax (cause most electronics have this) Then found out it was $250.. Wow. I'm really shock... but anyways this kinda irrelevant..

Sorry for wasting your time with this, if this helps...

And hey, if we were able to help you make a wise decision and clear some things up, it was not a waste of time.

Unfortunate you don't have the same deal as we do with Germany, when I buy German audio gear, not only is it much cheaper than locally but I get a refund of their 20% sales tax, a refund of our 10% sales tax and get to claim it as an expense 😂

It's honestly to the point where I only buy any audio gear (including cables) from Germany now and don't even look elsewhere and I live in Australia which is just about as far away from Germany as you can get.

If you want to save on the OS then I recommend checking out r/MicrosoftServices

I mean, there are much cheaper options..... Technically you can install Win10 for free without needing a product key and it's all regedit from there baybeeeeee
(I know piracy chat isn't allowed which is why I specifically didn't mention the multitude of other, less legal options)

@Downkey @Ankh Tech @Den-Fi

Sorry for the ping but I just needed to ask one more thing. Is the Blue Snowball ICE any good? I don't have a mic and was wondering if it was "good" enough for youtube and stuff? Also, is it compatible with a boom arm as I might get one another time? If not, could you suggest some good ones? Remember my budget is $78 Australian Dollars anyways thanks!

it is good as long you don't get too close or far away from the mic, get it and get this mount later on:
