Suggestions in modifying a prebuild

Budget (including currency): ~2100 GBP

Country: UK

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: College work and potentially work in Statistics/Finance/Accounting area in 2 years time. Competitive games: CS, Valorant, League. Other games: Borderlands 3, Witcher 3.

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):  Monitor is the Dell S2721DGFA @ 1440p 144/165hz. 

 

Details:

As it works out at the moment it would be cheaper for me to buy a prebuilt PC excl. GPU & Windows than to buy the components and build it myself. The site has limited configurability but what I currently have is:

 

CPU: Ryzen 5 5600X or 5900X

Cooler: H100i RGB Platinum

Motherboard: Asus Strix B550-F (or only other available option is the ROG Strix X570-F)

RAM: 16GB (2x8GB) Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO 3200 CL16

Storage: 1TB Samsung 970 Evo Plus

               2TB Seagate Barracuda Compute

PSU: Corsair RMx 850W 80PLUS GOLD

 

 

RE: GPU - I plan on buying and installing this myself as there's a significant mark-up on the site.

RE: Windows, I should be able to avail of a free license from my university.

 

Questions:

From watching various videos I feel that the GPU & Windows are relatively simple to install, would this be the case?

I plan on either buying a 3080/3070 or AMD's new GPUs tomorrow and installing them myself, would there be any compatibility issues?

Any suggestions for improvements/bottlenecks that should be dealt with in this build?

 

My budget of ~£2,100 is flexible and I would be willing to go over it by a moderate amount if there's ample justification for the price.
