Ram not running at full speed :/

jamesjoshua3

hey guys, recently i bought new ram ripjaws DDR4 3200 Mhz 8GB x 2, im having trouble getting it to run at its proper speed and need some help, im assuming its because i have an older mother board but im not sure and im not sure how to fix it. Here are my specs, hopefully one off you guys can help. Basically what's happening is if i run the ram on auto in the BIOS it runs at 1067Mhz but when i play games like cod war my computer will randomly shut down, if i try running my ram at any other speed the computer wont post. Do i need to update my BIOS?

If its an older BIOS then you may need to update it..

Check and see if you RAM is on the MOBO QVL list.

Enable DOCP (XMP) in MOBO BIOS it should automatically set speed / timings

Dude, it's not greyed out or anything, did you try clicking on it?

Sometimes motherboards have weird controls but you definitely should be able to change the DOCP.

Is latest BIOS installed?
