Hey guys I'm going to try my best to describe accurately what's happening with my pc, my English is not the best so wish me luck.

So I've just built my new PC with a Ryzen 5600x and I can get to the bios and move around the tabs and change settings but the screen always freezes after a while and I have to power off. If I manage to proceed to the Windows installation via USB I always have a different blue screen error code appearing (eg: critical structure corruption).

Basically I need to know what component is causing this so I can use its warranty, and I'm pretty sure it's either the CPU or the motherboard, but how can I be sure which one?

I have a Asus b550 plus Tuf and when the machine boots all four troubleshooting lights light up in order (DRAM, CPU, VGA, BOOT) and then only the boot light stays on.

Thanks in advance for any help provided.

Have you got the latest BIOS on the mobo?

But sounds to me like it might be a RAM or power issue, if it freezes. Most likely RAM. Try using 1 stick of RAM and see if it works OK then. Try either/both sticks 1 at a time.

Check your RAM. See if its inserted all the way. Both clips should be in the close position, and not stand out.

Also try running with 1 stick (if you have more then 1) and swap for the other to test.

Then reseat your CPU.

You can download and install memtest on a USB drive and do a RAM check to see if one of your sticks is faulty

I updated the bios via USB flashback before building the PC without the CPU connected and the bios info screen displays the correct version.

Ok so I updated to bios to a beta newer version and it didn't make a difference. Now I noticed that the order of the troubleshoot lights is weird. First it lights up the dram one, the the cpu one for a while and then it comes back to the dram briefly and then again to the CPU one and then it goes to VGA for a sec and finally stays on on the boot one. When I turn on the PC the CPU cooler is at a very high speed but when the CPU troubleshoot light turns on (it's a red bright light) it slows down to a more intermediate speed. Anyone knows if thos means my CPU its faulty or something? (I checked the pins and they are ok).

What happens if you take the motherboard out of your case and just have the CPU/1 Stick of RAM/ Video card installed? Does it still freeze in BIOS?

Yep same thing unfortunately, I'm gonna do a clear cmos and see if it helps.

Try making another USB key with the media tool.

I've seen bad keys BSOD for no reason when trying to boot.

It's freezing in the BIOS so unlikely to be a USB key issue. It's definitely hardware or firmware at this point.
