difference 10700k vs kf

hello folks,

just a small question, with the new AMDs launching some of the Intels seem to be getting cheaper and so i was curious if you folks could tell me what the difference of the i7 10700k and kf skew processor is? i might be able to do an upgrade and since i havent gotten a confirmation back from NZXT that they got an am4 bracket available for my AIO i figured i might as well just consider an i7

thanks!

KF doesnt have integrated graphics

dont change your cpu choice over a cooling bracket... just get a different cooler, or use the stock amd cooler (only the 5600 has one)

what motherbaord do you have now? if you do not have a b460/ z490 board AMD will be cheaper option.

If you do have, 10700kf willl be nice. 10700kf does not have intergrated gpu like 10700k. that is where the f comes from.

Does the F stand for press F to pay respects for integrated graphics

the new AMD ryzen 5 costs 100 bucks more than an i7 10700kf, my nzxt x61 cost more than 100 bucks and is way prettier and more powerful than the stock amd cooler? how would there be any point in choosing the AMD system, even if its better  by like 10% its still significantly more expensive

Whant country do you live? I can help you with this. well ryzen 5 5600x is likely not 100$ more since 10700kf need to be around 200-250$ then. that is used pricing.

and not to mention decent z490 board cost much more than board that can Handle AMD.

people buy AIOs for looks not for performance, even if the scythe were better it would not be an option

you need to factor in peoples personal preferences too, its like if a matching intel and amd cpu would cost the same but the AMD was 5% faster i would still tend toward intel because thats what i always had, but with the new amd cpu series i at least give it a thought that i might own an AMD some day

PCPartPicker Part List
Type Item Price
CPU Intel Core i7-10700K 3.8 GHz 8-Core Processor €353.99 @ Mindfactory
Motherboard MSI MPG Z490 GAMING PLUS ATX LGA1200 Motherboard €153.90 @ Amazon Deutschland

Conclusion: Wait for the price of 5600x to drop. if you get 10700k is cost similar to 5600x while consumign more power and having little worse performance. if you wait for the 5600x to drop aroudn 80€ you safe 50€ going for AMD than intel.

so in 1 months prices might favour AMD more?

Some ATM. Yo have to look fo motheboard with ryzen 5000 ready sticker.  Most b550 and x570 board do have it, but the store can have old stock which need a bios update. Yo ucan always ask the seller to bios update it for you. Also you can check local pc stores, they usually bios update them for you.
