The RTX 3060 was just leaked on BestBuy, so we know its coming. I'm planning on getting it. IDK if you have a BestBuy where you live, I think that its an only US thing. The base 3060 is supposed to cost around 1450Myr and the 3060 ti is supposed to cost around 1650Myr. If i were you, I would wait and see especially since it was just confirmed, and its gonna come out within the next month or so.

No clue, Im assuming they will announce it on Nov. 17 (when they planned on releasing it) and then drop it on Dec. 2

Any clue, what the performance level of the Ti version is?2080s or 2080?

the 3060 ti is supposed to be around 2080 Super/2080 and the 3060 is supposed to be around 2070 super/2080 for 1450Myr. Great deal IMO.

Keep in mind, BestBuy showed options for the 3090 about 2 weeks ahead of when it was released. So were looking at around 2 weeks people!

I'm in a similar boat. I don't need an incredibly powerful GPU for 4K video editing (I game a tiny bit but nothing demanding) and I've been tossing up on what to get. I decided I was going to get something with 8GB of VRAM so the 3060 Ti seemed like a good fit but with the new leaks suggesting the 3060 standard has 12GB, I'm not sure which way I should go. I'd prefer to have something in December as this new PC was supposed to be a bit of a Christmas present to myself but I could wait for January. The thing is, I'm not sure whether the other trade-offs would be worth it as I don't know that much about GPUs. It's got a smaller memory bus and fewer CUDA cores but I don't really know how much that would affect my workflow.

Given that I doubt I'm going to need more than 8GB of VRAM for now at least, I'm not sure which compromise to make. 3060 Ti would be slightly more expensive, less VRAM but a bit more powerful and I can get it a month earlier. 3060 would be a bit cheaper, more VRAM but less powerful and I'll have to wait longer to get it. It seems really confusing having lower SKUs that seem to have higher specs. It's hard for people who aren't that clued in to get an idea about what's best for their budget.
