All drivers installed and up to date? Is it disabled in the control panel? Have you tried different wires? How about wireless?

yeah i kind of wasnt thinking about drivers(havent slept in two days) lol, can i throw all the drivers from the gigabyte website onto a usb drive and throw that in my pc?

yes or use the disk that came with it to install the ethernet drivers then update once u get a connection.

well i just finished bulding my new PC i have a gigabyte z5s mobo. i have the ethernet plugged in to the mobo from the router but windows isnt picking up any connections, why? 

Just install the LAN driver and you should be good. Windows 7 for some reason doesn't have their "standard" drivers for this for some reason :o
