Ofcourse being a thinkpad, the chassis is a tank and has oodles of ports. What do you guys think of this laptop? Do you guys think this is a good contender for a long term work/gaming laptop?

I feel that for people who need the portability of a laptop but really good performance and longevity, this laptop is perfect. Not to mention gaming!!!!!!!!!!

nice, I just could not bring myself to spend 3k+ on a laptop and I am a thinkpad fan all the way back to the 600x.

It was honestly a really hard decision for myself. 3k Easily gets you a solid PC + a nice portable laptop. But you have to sacrifice on both. My line of work means I'm always out of the house or moving houses so I decided to bite the bullet and get the ThinkPad.

It's actually the other way around, if you get one device trying to do what two dedicated devices would do better you're making the sacrifice. But as long as you're happy with the purchase that's what matters.

maybe a bit late to be asking such a question after spending so much money.

Bought it fully knowing that Lenovo offers full returns until January 15th with free return shipping.

But you're right... Perhaps this really is the way to go. Thanks for your feedback :)
