Budget (including currency): 300$ US

Country: US

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Solidworks, Keyshot, photoshop and illustrator

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

I am currently running a dell t7500, will duel xeon e5645's, running 12 cores 24 threads @ 2.4 Ghz, the second cpu is on a separate daughter board, and I have dual quadro 4000 gpu's running in SLI, stock dell power supply and 2 generic 2.5in sata SSD's. I am currently looking to update, I have considered buying and throwing a matching set of x5680's in there. However with the additional power draw I am not sure if the stock coolers could adequately handle the heat. They have the same core and thread counts, the only real gain  would be a higher core frequency from 2.4 to around 3.4Ghz. I am considering ditching the Lga 1366 socket all together, but I don't know where to start. I am open to feedback, this is only meant to be a rendering rig, designed to run Solidworks, Keyshot, and photoshop. Having the ability to play games would be nice but it is not a priority. Looking for feedback on what would be a worthwhile upgrade.

I think I forgot to mention this before but I am open to older server equipment, xeon e5 series on lga 2011 mb just as an example. I am also open to reusing parts, such as my case, ssd's etc. I do wanna say thanks for the feedback, probably the fastest response time i've seen on any forum. I wanna ask, if you were going to build a budget rendering machine, using either new parts or older generation server grade parts. what would your budget look like? And which socket/chip combo do you think would be a worthwhile budget upgrade?
