A gaming rig

Go to solution Solved by Fasauceome,

It's a powerful PC with good specs, all compatible. You're investing a lot of money on the looks but at this price point there isn't anything else to spend money on, it's a great PC.

So,guys i have decided to build a new pc instead of upgrading mine

Can you tell me if these specs are good

1.       Asus rog strix rtx 3080 oc                    (Aldready bought)

2.       Amd ryzen 9 5900x

3.       Asus rog crosshair viii hero wifi

4.       Corsair h115i elite capellix

5.       Corsair dominator rgb platinum 32gb 3200mhz cl16

6.       Seagate firecuda 2tb hybrid hdd

7.       Corsair mp600 m.2  1tb ssd

8.       Corsair obsidian 500d rgb se case

9.       Corsair rm850i psu

10.     Corsair ll120mm fan

11.     Corsair rgb led lightining pro expansion kit

12.     Lianli strimer plus rgb 24 pin connector for psu

Pls lemme know i know most rtx 3080 builds cost like 2200$ but i have gone with quite expensive storage cause i really need them so pls consider that and i like wanted kind of an rgb overload so....i am like an RGB person i need it lol and also some might say that the motherboard is overkill but i like future proofing stuff so.yeah lol

Thanks

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

PSU tier list

How many watts do I need?

PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

Yeah, of course the specs are good. It's essentially top-tier hardware right now.

Since you're willing to spend the money (clearly) I'd ditch the hybrid HDD and go full SSD. No real reason not to since 2 TB isn't that much for SSD storage to where it gets prohibitively expensive. Everything else is fine.

Be sure to QUOTE or TAG me in your reply so I see it!

Yeah and they don't even say what its being used for.

RGB is a waste of money imho, but I see lots just love it.

Yes,but i feel like this investment is worth it as i have struggled with my old pc so much (walmart pc very bad) so i have saved a lot of money so #No compromise lol

well if you want a struggle-free experience, I highly recommend less RGB. RGB software is really bad, and hard to work with. It's terribly buggy and often has issues. The Lian-Li Strimer is controlled with a control board if I recall, so that would be fine to keep, but the less RGB software you have to use and the less components you have to sync, the better.

Unless you're setting it all to a static color, which makes for a lot less of a headache. My personal rig is all green which is a lot simpler.
