PC Build Help

Budget (including currency): $1500 (without counting monitor and peripherals)

Country: USA

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Just mainstream games, and I will use this for school work etc in the future, nothing too intensive, but I want this to last for a while

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

So pcpartpicker is saying that there needs to be a bios update, even though I have a 5600x and a B550 series mobo, which doesn't really make sense. Also, any thoughts on waiting for the 5600 (no x)? Will that bottleneck the rtx 3070? Another question I had was about the aRGB fans that I have. They come with a controller, is that independent of the mobo? And if I wanted to use the motherboard software, I think I would have to daisy chain them, so could someone explain that process simply? Additionally, I am a first time builder, so I am probably gonna stick with the air cooler, but if anyone has a good recommendation (aRGB would be nice) for a similar price, please drop it below! Here is my list for other comments.

Consensus is that no such CPU is going to come out.

We have a NEW and GLORIOUSER-ER-ER PSU Tier List Now. (dammit @LukeSavenije stop coming up with new ones)

You can check out the old one that gave joy to so many across the land here

Zen 3 benefits from 4 sticks of ram, you can buy 2 of those kits, 3200 CL14 is the sweet spot for gaming

Better cpu cooler, Asus strix is the best 3070 you can get,

Adata xpg sx8200 pro is faster than a western digital blue and pretty cheap

I would suggest getting the lancool II Mesh but you can also get the meshify c

B550 chipset predates Zen 3 cpu. No worries about updating BIOS. In the event that BIOS needs to be updated use the motherboard Flash BIOS feature. You will need a USB stick and another machine to use the feature.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.

I do like this build, but sadly it doesn’t fit my budget, you forgot to set a price for the 3070 😭😭.
