I've been meaning to upgrade my cooling system for a while now (I'll update my rig in my prof in a minute, but it's not crazy high power- 3600x, 5600xt) and I've decided on the cpu cooler but I'm stuck on the case fans. My case is matx-size with room for 2x140 in front, 120 behind, and 2x120 on top. I'm planning to move my current 120mm stock fan to the back and get 2 new 140mm for the front. I'm not doing any overclocking right now, I just want it to not flare up in noise while I'm studying or running basic programs. I'm stuck between the Shadow Wings 2 and the NF-P14s, but I'd be willing to spend a little more on something like Silent Wings 3 if the value were there. My case has a closed front with mesh on the sides of the front panel and an open bottom. It's not particularly restrictive but nowhere hear open-air.

Any suggestions welcome!

Fans are fans. There isn't a whole lot of difference so by the cheapest ones that look good.

arctic p12 and p14 are awesome and cheap. they go head to head with NH fans at a way cheap cost.

Please do expand. I highly doubt the that performance difference between a silent wings 3 and a nf p14 are noticeable and/or will impact somebodies purchase more than how they look or cost.

I don't know how big of a difference there is at the really high end, but between cheap random RGB case fans I picked up at Canada Computers and a NF P14 I put in my case the other day, there's a massive amount of difference. The cheap fans had a lot more noise coming from them, even at low RPMs - but they look good, and they're RGB, so picking your fans carefully is worth it.
