issue with my build

I'm not exactly sure what's going on here, but my new pc is crashing very often. im new to pc building so im not really sure what could be, but windows crash's pretty often, sometimes before i even sign in. as far as i know the cpu and gpu have all the drivers installed and up to date. and i think the mother board is working properly. it also cant even load sea of thieves, it just sits there in the loading screen. I'm new to pc stuff so i have pretty much no clue what could be wrong. any advice would be greatly appreciated.

its a ryzen 3 3100, rtx 2060 ko ultra, gigabyte b450m, 16gb ddr4 3200 mHz (i thing its corsair vengance), a WD black NVMe m.2, all stock coolers. odd thing is somtimes it crashes right away and somtimes it wont crash at all (been up for about 2 hours right now). still wont load sot however.

i have had a few diffrent stop codes and yes it blue screens. it has been stable for now but next time i will try to get the code. im working on reinstalling sot to see if thats the issue.

Yeah have a phone/cam ready to take a pic of those stop codes, they will help pinpoint/guide you in the direction of what the issue is. Report back when you have done so. Or if you are doing a fresh OS install hopefully that fixes your issue.

its blue screening and giving me stop code thats somthing along the lines of "memory manedgment"

Memory management stop codes usually refer to an issue with your RAM. First thing I recommend doing is downloading MemTest86 and seeing what the results are, if it tells you there is an issue then your RAM is likely faulty. As a sanity check also run Windows Memory Diagnostic Tool. This link HERE has a lot of info on that particular stop code, and a guide on how to run Windows Memory Diagnostic Tool, so worth going through. Take a pic of the MemTest86 and Windows Memory Diagnostic Tool results as documentation, you will need this later on.

 

 

If your RAM is faulty you have two options:

 

1. Your RAM modules are new enough that you can return / exchange them with the retailer you bought them from (usually 15-30 days), and you can you the photos of your test results as proof if they require it. 

 

2. If you are outside of the 15-30 day return window you can begin the RMA WARRANTY process with Corsair, if you memory is faulty this will 100% be covered and you will receive a replacement. But this will likely require you to send them to Corsair, and you need to provide documentation, hence why you want pictures of your test results.

If your RAM is faulty you have two options:

 

1. Your RAM modules are new enough that you can return / exchange them with the retailer you bought them from (usually 15-30 days), and you can you the photos of your test results as proof if they require it. 

 

2. If you are outside of the 15-30 day return window you can begin the RMA WARRANTY process with Corsair, if you memory is faulty this will 100% be covered and you will receive a replacement. But this will likely require you to send them to Corsair, and you need to provide documentation, hence why you want pictures of your test results.

im not sure thats the issue but its worth a shot. it runs for the most part after a windows update but still wont open sot or fortnite. i tried re installing the ram few times. the place i got the ram from is crappy for returns, but i could look into the corsair thing.

The issue is not how it is installed, run Memtest86 and see what the result says. This is the first step.
