First build! ome advice pls.

kev790

Hey everyone, brand new here and fellow ltt fan. I'm wanting to build my own system for the 1st time and would like to ask few questions and get some good advice, I'm on a slight budget but also know i want a great performance machine that is also future capable so willing to push the budget where it really counts like CPU, GPU & Mobo. I prefer mostly AMD for parts but Nvidia and others are acceptable, I really rather have builtin highspeed wireless, I'm fine with being in the 1080p range not needing all out 4-8k.

Mostly wanting to know what the majority of gamers feel is the current best point value GPU would be smart to buy?

Having hardtime choosing the best b550or x570 Mobo?

then any other value advice and even warnings of certain parts you may have.

thanks for reading and to those who reply.

well 1k to 1.5k would be best, the less of course better especially if under the thoasand but like said without cheaping on the more important performance parts. also im not big on the aesthetics like RGB, etc.... its how well it works im not into showing off really and i use my machines not sit there looking at them :)

Leaves you with USD750 or so to get whichever GPU you like the most of the new ones being released which would all more than be fine for 1080p, or you have your 5700XT, 5700 or RTX 2060/2070 etc that are all more than adequate for 1080p and in reality somewhat overpowered for it in most cases. The CPU price might (or might not) drop in price once the 5000 series have been released in a few days. Personally, I'd wait and see on offers for black friday if you are in the US and adjust bits and pieces accordingly as you may save a fair few dollars depending on what goes on sale.

The case is sort of just a filler, its pretty basic, but perfectly fine, I always find this is a personal preference anyway. If you are planning on any of the higher spec Nvidia GPUs (3080/3090) or (possibly) AMD (6800XT/6900XT), you might want to go for a higher wattage (but still good, don't go for a fire hazard) power supply for a tens of bucks more
