Alt-tab takes longer

rolic

I recently bought a new monitor but when I alt tab from a fullscreen game, it takes significantly longer. When I change the game back to the other monitor, it does just fine.

I have also tested just using the new monitor, but the problem is still there.

Any ideas?

Did the resolution increase with the new monitor compared to your old monitor?

Or does your game run on a different resolution than Windows?

hmm, the fix  was if I uncheck "disable full screen optimization"

Anyone know why this is the problem?

Disable scaling in Nvidia control panel and set input to manual on monitor. Ie. Displayport. :)

Make sure that windows resolution and game is the same, also refresh rate, ie 144hz
