Planning my 1st Build - Pls Help

Budget (including currency): up to 1500€ (cca 1700usd)

Country: Slovenia

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: World of Warcraft, Streaming, Video editing

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

I've been gaming on a Asus Laptop for the last few years, havent had a Desktop since cca 2010. So im upgrading from i5-5200U, Geforce 920M, only 2X 500GB HDD with 2x4GB Ram... Below is what I was planning to use for my 1st Build (I do assume all parts will cost me 20-40% more than stated below). I would love to buy a Rtx 3070 instead but at the moment it's impossible to get them anywhere near MSRP.

Also would prefer to stick to Intel CPUs (unless AMDs would be a lot better in a price/performance sense) and ofc I need a lot of RBGs. :P

I also want 2x Monitors, but those are not included in this budget, but I will appreciate any helpful ideas, since I haven't done any research yet.

Plan on buying the first few parts this month and the rest near the holidays.

Thanks for any and all advice in advance.

Changing the i7-10700K for an i5-10400F (which is cheaper because it has no iGPU) would give you the possibility to change that RTX 2060 Super for a RTX 2070 Super.

I dont think you need 8 cores and 16 threads to do what you want to do, and also I would prefer a better GPU than the 2060 for a build that will cost 1500€ 😅

In fact, lowering in your Motherboard and other things like the SSD and opting for a better-value one you could even get your build with an RTX 2080 Super for ~1600€.

CPU: Ryzen 5 3600 @ 4.4GHz 1.2v / GPU: MSI Radeon RX 5700 Mech OC GP (5700XT Bios) @ 2GHz / MB: Asus ROG Strix B450-F / RAM: Kingston HyperX 16GB DDR4 3200MHz CL16 / CASE: MSI MAG Vampiric 010X

If you're not buying from the US, don't use the US PCPartPicker. It's not relevant to you.

Check PCPartPicker and let us know which European country you'd likely be buying from.

It changes parts availability and pricing.

I used US Partpicker just to list the parts I was thinking about, sadly EU doesn't have a site like Partpicker (or does it?).

Id be buying from Slovenia, Austria, Germany and possibly from the UK. I have a mailing address in Slovenia and Austria which gives me some extra options.

It does, you can change the location via the drop down, top right.

with a nice budget like you have i would wait till the new amd rx 6800xt releases and cop that one combined with a brand new ryzen zen3 processor that'll release aswell soon. it beats nvidea + the new combined amd cpu and gpu's have this feature where they power each other so u get 11+% power increase aka more fps

You really should consider AMD. You mention video editing which for some packages for the same price, AMD has a good lead on performance. A whole new generation of AMD CPUs are about to drop too so even if you wend for last seasons model you would have plenty of grunt, and probably at a good discounted price too. That would allow more spend on other components such as GPU or silly RGB. For instance, a Ryzen 7 3700x can be had for 100 euro less than the intel cpu you have listed. Even the Ryzen 9 12c/24thread comes in at only ten euro more.

Hmm..I guess I'll wait to see the 5000 series of CPUs and decide after that. But if I were to go for an Ryzen CPU then I would also need a diffrent motherboard I assume?

Yes, a different mobo would be needed. There too are some good deals if you go for one of the B550 ones.
