Forum contrast issues

Go to solution Solved by colonel_mortis,

I've made some of the borders slightly stronger for the next update.

I noticed that today the forum had a designchange and overall it's pretty good but I do notice a pretty annoying thing about it.

So everything is scaled up a bit which I don't mind but it does come with the issue of contrast. All the gray in the forum especially the 1px wide bars and stuff is now pretty low contrast and very hard to see at least for me.

So my suggestion is to up the contrast a bit or either make the dividing lines and such a little thicker. Same with the smaller light gray text it's contrast is pretty poor compared to everything else and lower readability a fair bit.

I may be more affected by it due to being lightly colourblind but I do think that the lightgray should either be a little darker or anything using it should be a little more pronounced to help the readability of the forum.

Other than that I like the new design.

Lightmode

Funny have the same issue in dark mode, there are way too many different shades, it looks cluttered and seems mostly unnecessary. The padding / spacing is also a bit odd seems a lot of space wasted which makes it rather difficult to read or type things on mobile.

See @colonel_mortis

I'm not the only one who complains about these.

I'm not seeing any feedback from you about this on the beta site.

This won't be for the OP, but it works for me on mobile, it's not ideal and hope only a temporary solution. It also kinda fixes the small font size, I'm just using Samsung internet "high contrast mode" and +125 text size, and yeah, besides the" it's the 90s again" flair including the neon yellow... It's quite nice and most importantly easy on the eyes.

Not the ones mentioned here per say. But I'm more concerned about buttons i need to find than separator lines this seems to be about. Still I would agree that making the lines either 1px thicker or with brighter white would help. They are bit too much hidden to background.
