CPU Usage doesnt go above 60%

Hello,

I just bought a brand new lenovo legion 5 specs: CPU intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10750H CPU @ 2.60GHz, GPU: geforce 1660 TI and 16gb of ram with 512 gb of SSD. when i play games like EU4 (a real time strategy game) the total cpu usage  around 40% and sometimes it spikes to 60% while im getting 25 fps in game. i have enough ram, the laptop doesnt get hot and the fan noice is normal. My lenovo is on balanced mode and the power usage is also on balanced mode. i think i installed the latest drivers (btw is it right that intel drivers download together with windows updates?). why doesnt my laptop use more of its cpu power? im pretty noob i hope you could help me.

Is it actually running on the 1660ti? It's possible because it's all in balanced mode it refuses to use the 1660ti and only uses the iGPU of the 10750H.

 

You can choose which graphics card specific games use somewhere in windows. Don't know where exacly but the option is there.

I don't see a problem here,if CPU is running in games at 65 %..

install Prime95 and test the CPU with it,it should report 100% usage...

gpu usage aroung 95 to 100 % should be in games,if it is much lower then u have an issue.

 

Please do not take offence for my apparent confusion or rudeness,it's not intent me to be like that,it's just my BPD,be nice to me,and I'll return twice better,be rude and usually I get easly pissed of...I'll try to help anyone here,as long as it's something I dealt with,and even if you think I'm rude or not polite,forgive me,  it's not me it's my BPD.

thanks for helping, isnt there another way of testing. because i dont really know how these programs work. Im pretty noob you know :)

Something wrong with installed drivers or/and conflicting, cause people with even worse parameters runs this game absolutely fine.

 

By the way, set power mode to high perfomance in windows settings, and you can try in lenovo application as well.
