How relevant is AMD 16GB VRAM for 4h gaming?

e22big

10GB's is more than enough for 1080P or 1440p.

You can always find an unoptimized game to make a case, however in 99% of the games you barely get to 8GB's, so 2GB's of "buffer" should be fine for some years.

4K is a different story, right now 10GB's is enough, however there are titles out there right now which use more on 4K.

I wouldn't buy the 3080 for 4K unless you are fine with upgrading next generation.

The AMD lineup will most likely last longer for 4K

Direct Storage, AMD's Smart-ass Memory, those 2 probably gonna make 16GB on Radeon 6000 more future proof in a few years time compare to 3070/3080.
