Task Manger shwing FALSE INFO

Go to solution Solved by Prodigy_Smit,

Its probably a windows error. I would not care as it does not effect performance.

I have a ASUS ROG STRIX G731GT (windows 10 single language)  i have openned my Mother board of my PC to check how many slots do i have. When i opened my pc's mother board I found out that my pc has only 2 SODIMM ddr4  slots ( 1 of them are in use for my 8gb pre-installed memory). but my taskmanger showed me 4 ( task manger says i have 1 out of 4 slots used). So i want to know that why is the task mager showing false information. When i have only 2 physical slots why does task manager shows i have 4 ? :(

Also i have another laptop i.e LENOVO IDEA-PAD u410 (ultrabook)(windows 8 single language).  The same thing also shows up here. When i opened my mother board i found only 2 SODIMM slots ( 1 of them are in use for my 4gb pre-installed memory), whereas my task manager says that i have  4 sodimm slots used and one of them are in use

Is this some kind of malfunction of the OS or is it some thing else please explain it to me in a simple way, i am not a tech guy :(
Thanks : )

I will recommend an NHu12s (or an NHd15 (maybe)) for your PC build. Quote or @ me @Prodigy_Smit for me to see your replies.

Yeah i know it wont affect performance but it has wasted my 10000 INR ( 180 CAD / 140 USD ) cause i have just bought an useless extra pair of SODIMM RAM. And  10000 INR ( 180 CAD / 140 USD ) ain't a low price. 😤😵😵
