Most likely.

Intel typically has their chipsets support two architectures, and Intel's 400 series boards presently only has Comet Lake.

Gigabyte apparently also confirmed it, but I don't know if I'd take that as absolute confirmation.

Do you guys think rocket lake will be a significant upgrade over comet lake or it won't really be that big?

We don't know the details yet, but it is expected to be the first desktop CPU with a new architecture since Skylake so there is potential for significant IPC gains.

i guestimate atleast 10% more gaming performance to beat ryzen 5000-series by 3%. If it wouldnt atleast do this, they probably wouldnt release it.

I would expect Alder Lake/Meteor Lake to be a game changer, DDR5, big.SMALL design.. LGA1700, 10/7nm+ yea.. sounds like my upgrade path if AMD doesnt magically improve by 20% again.
