Should i go 1080p 144hz

exynol

I'm planning to get a new monitor for my games, and i was wondering weather it would be worth it to get 144hz yet.

I'm running:

Ryzen 5 2600
RX 580 (Planning to upgrade to 2060)

Ive also heard that having 144hz ruins 60hz and makes it seem less smooth. I was thinking of going 1080p ultrawide or 1440p instaid at 75 hz.

The difference between 60hz and 144hz is pretty noticeable but if 60hz is satisfactory than get either an ultrawide or higher res. moniter instead. And unless your current moniter actually had any issues I would spend a little more on upgrading your gpu and getting the rtx 3070 when available.

I'm planning to get the 2060 used anyway, i don't think i could afford the 3070

The 3070 will only be 500 dollars when released and a moniter and used 2060 combo costs about that and if the 3080 preformence and what nvidea has said you'll be getting preformence close to the 2080ti

Of course, they're so cheap, no point not having one at this day and age.
