Transfer only windows to ssd

How to i only transfer windows 10 to my new ssd from my old hdd?

My friend says I should delete everything on my hard drive since windows it already installed on that, but i have some other files i want to keep so im not really a fan of doing that.

By removing everything other than Windows. It's an all-or-nothing process; I am not aware of any software that is capable of picking specifically all the files that are part of Windows itself from everything else.

Install fresh copy of windows on SSD. Copy files you want to keep on SSD. Format HDD and move the files back.

your windows 10 key should be attached to your microsoft account so you can just install windows on the SSD and then connect to your microsoft acount and your good to go, and IDK how big is your old hard drive but windows 10 is only around 25 gigs at most (usually its around 16 to 20 depending on the amount of updates it went throgh)

Okay then ill try and move the files to my ssd

Do I need a specific software to move files can i just go to "this pc -> (hdd)C" and then drag them to "this pc -> (ssd)D"?
