Which RX480 to choose

AndreiArgeanu

So, having looked at the RX 580's on eBay I realized it's not worth the extra money for the small clock speed improvements that I can probably achieve myself, not to mention that some take weeks to ship.

Anyway, so I ended up with 3 gpu's. Only the Asus and Sapphire one come boxed. So which one should I choose and why? Personally I'm leaning towards the Asus one since it's cheaper, but the sapphire one looks like it had less use.

First one is the Asus RX 480 4GB at 95£

2nd one is the XFX RX 480 4GB at 100£

3rd and last is the Sapphire RX 480 Nitro+ 4GB at 105£

Also it's a gamble on what I will get if I buy it from CEX, I don't know if it's mined, it definitely isn't boxed, and I don't know which model I'll get. For all I know I could get this. Or maybe a mining card like the Gigabyte Mining Gaming

true. but they have a 14 day return policy. I'd say it's worth a try, given the 2year warranty.

maybe see if they have one in stock in a store near you and you could go see what model it is before deciding.

Except "This policy is offered at management discretion and can be withdraw at any time." and "we will happily return it to voucher". Which means that I either won't be able to return it, or I'll get a voucher that I have no use for.

oh, I didn't see that. not sure then. maybe try bidding on a few 580s that are on auction? if you're lucky, you might snatch one for under £100.

Yeah. Guess I'll look around and see what I can get. Thanks for the help though.

rx570 seems to go for quite a lot cheaper than the rx480, and I think the performance difference is minimal.

It's only a 10£ difference at most. It's definitely worth spending the extra to get 256 more cores and 16 more TMU's
