Recommendations for 1440p 165 Hz G-Sync Monitor

Gol_D_Chris

Hello,

I'm currently using a dual monitor setup with a monitor arm (RaidSonic Icy Box IB-MS314-T) that holds:

  1. ASUS VG278QR, 27" (TN, 1080p, 165 Hz, G-Sync Compatible)
  2. ASUS VG275Q, 27" (TN, 1080p, 75 Hz)

Those monitors get powered by a RTX 2070 Super (ROG Strix).

I have been thinking about upgrading to a 1440p monitor and selling the second monitor.

I'm currently looking for fitting monitors, but since some monitors like the G7 got initially good reviews, although it has some issues I have some trust issues in those reviews.

I'm looking now for a monitor that

  • is as big as my other monitor (27")
  • is 1440p
  • has 165+ Hz refresh rate
  • has G-Sync / G-Sync Ultimate or is G-Sync Compatible
  • is preferably IPS/VA instead of TN, but is not a must
  • has low input lag
  • costs <650€

I haven't read if the monitor arm is compatible with curved monitors, but I read somewhere that someone attached a curved monitor to it. So I'd prefer a flat monitor, but I'd try to attach it if the monitor is worth it.

I already found some monitors, but I'm not sure about them.

  1. Acer Predator XB1 XB271HUAbmiprz (~480€, TN, G-Sync, 2 year warranty)
  2. Acer Predator XB3 XB273UGSbmiiprzx (~500€, IPS, G-Sync Compatible, 2 year warranty)
  3. ASUS ROG Swift PG278QE (~520€, TN, G-Sync*ASUS design, 3 year warranty)
  4. ASUS ROG Swift PG278QR (~520€, TN, G-Sync, 3D-ready, *ASUS design, 3 year warranty)
  5. ASUS ROG Strix XG279Q (~660€IPS, G-Sync Compatible170 Hz, 3 year warranty)
  6. ASUS TUF Gaming VG27BQ (~440€, TNG-Sync Compatible from 48 to 155 Hz, 3 year warranty)
  7. Dell S2721DGF (~420€, IPS, G-Sync Compatible, 3 year warranty)
  8. Lenovo Legion Y27q-20 without speaker (~420€, IPS, G-Sync Compatible, 3 year warranty)
  9. Lenovo Legion Y27gq-20 with speaker (~440€, TN, G-Sync, 1 year warranty)
  10. Samsung Odyssey G7 C27G73T (~590€, VA, G-Sync Compatible, 240 HzCurved, 2 year warranty)

*ASUS design is a small advantage, since my other monitor (ASUS VG278QR) has the same design.

Which one could you recommend or is there one that isn't in that list?

I would recommend Dell S2721DGF costs the least but has a great nano IPS panel like LG 27GL850-B has.

Thank you for your recommendations!

I didn't expect to get one monitor recommended by multiple people :)
