144hz monitor for a laptop

mrawesomeness13

So, i am going to get a 144hz for my laptop soon. because 60hz just sucks in high speed fps games. laptop model is an asus vivobook x571li i7 10750h and a 1650ti. Now i am pretty sure it is more then enough power to run 1080 144hz. But i only have hdmi as an output. So my question is: does this laptop support 1080 144 and should i get 1080 144 monitor?

A 1650ti for 1080 144hz is a bit on the weak side. Sure esports titles will be fine but be prepared to run all games on low in hope that you get 144fps.

With my experience with the 1650Ti, there aren't going to be a ton of games that will run at 144fps at 1080p. CS:GO might and Rocket League might, but games like fortnight run around 60-80. Now if you turn the graphics down you may be able to squeeze out some more performance.

Regardless it would still be able to do some gaming and the screen will make other experiences nice too.

This Laptop has similar specs, but slightly better and would give, in my opinion, a better overall experience. It also gives you the option of RTX if you wanted to do that.

Here is a comparison between the desktop versions of a 1050Ti and 1660Ti. This would be pretty similar in a laptop.

And the RTX 2060 gives even more performance and the option for RTX.

That's a lot of faith in that 1650Ti.

My laptop has an RTX 2070 and I don't always get 144 frames at 1080p. It all depends on what game you are going to play and what graphic settings.
