Synology NAS with DSM 5.0

http://www.kitguru.net/software/jon-martindale/synology-hoping-to-reinvent-nas-with-ds5-0/

With an Interface like that, Support for up to a Petabyte of Storage (not that I'd come remotely close to getting that), can be hooked up to Dropbox, google+ etc and can use SSD caching, I will probably invest in a NAS and use this software. It Looks very promising

(Sorry bout the horrid Mac)

Oooo looks good! Can't wait to upgrade my DS213J to 5.0. The main reason I went with synology is that they were far better than the competition. The software alone is worth it's weight in gold, it's powerful and easy to use. So can't wait to see the new features of v5.

I use mine for sensitive data backups and media streaming, in the process of ripping my physical DVD library to it, quick sync is lovely for that, 6-700 FPS, over 400~ on just 3770k threads.

Don't worry, it's not a mac. Lol.

Go Synology. Even though most of us have no conceivable need for a petabyte of storage, this is good news for the enterprise world.

I do not feel obliged to believe that the same God who has endowed us with sense, reason and intellect has intended us to forgo their use, and by some other means to give us knowledge which we can attain by them. - Galileo Galilei
