So my rgb controller that comes with my case is supported by the motherboard rgb software and I wonder if I can connect unsupported rgb fans or anything that has rgb to the controller of my case and still control it via software?

If it's unsupported, it's unsupported :P

You don't want to mix-and-match RGB solutions, if they don't explicitly make it clear they're using the same RGB standard, don't use an RGB device on another RGB hub.

When you say unsupported,  do you mean not supplied by the same manufacture?

If they are the same standard as the rgb that you currently have then they should work.  You mentioned it works with your motherboards RGB, I would assume any RGB that is listed as compatible with your motherboard should also be compatible with the controller.

But be sure to double check before you blindly plug in a random RGB device just to be sure.

in short no. in long its complicated. most cheap cases that include rgb fans and controllers normally use one 5 or 6 pin connector. so if that's the case i don't no what connector it uses so you would have to reverse engineer it. its doable but we don't no what soldering skills or if you no how to engineer it.

if we are talking rgb 4pin 12v all should be compatable as long as the voltage is the same (you can get 5v rgb) but we also dont no how much that controller can handle and my burn it out.

if we are talking argb 5v then there are a few different that is not compatable with each other. both items have to have the same pwm duty cycle or it can fliter or not light up at all. also there are 3pin argb 5v and 4pin argb 5v.

also the controller are built with so much plugged in to it some animations might be messed up if there longer or shorter of leds on the device.

I have dyslexia plz be kind to me. dont like my post dont read it or respond thx

also i edit post alot because you no why...
