So all the listed parts I have already I need help on deciding what cooler I should use for the CPU I decided I needed an upgrade before I get my hands on a 3080.

I9-10900k

Asus ROG Maximus XII Hero

4x 8gig 4400mhz Thermaltake Toughram

Seasonic PRIME TX-1000

GTX 1070 (until I get my hands on a 3080)

This is all going into a Thermaltake Core P3 and it will be running in the horizontal position.

Someone suggested the D15 for cooling but I think I will have issues with the ram being too tall for that cooler. I don't think I could use an AIO because the horizontal position would put the bubbles in the AIO at the top of the coolant line.

I originally was going to run a hyper 212 EVO V2 but it was suggested it be a waste considering how high end the rest of the system is and if I plan on OC makes it pointless without a stronger cooler.

Any ideas would be welcomed. :)

Horizontal is fine, just avoid vertical with the tubes at the top.

As long as the liquid is going up, across and down it should be fine.

Honestly what I was worried about was having both the AIO rad and socket at the same level. To make matters worse both would be at the same level in a horizontal position with both lines facing up or close to up. That means all the air in the AIO would be in the lines near the highest point of the arch in the line. It seems to me this would cause an issue with cooling or in the pump itself. Don't you want the coolant in the AIO to be on the top side of the AIO's rad?

-> Moved to Air Cooling

That was my idea as well however someone pointed out I have 1000 dollars in gear and im air cooling it with a hyper evo would be a HUGE waste of money because I won't get much in the way of overclocking with the air cooler I selected so they suggested the D15 which I like however I think that cooler would be too big for my RAM because of the heat sink so I was looking at AIO options because if a hyper 212 evo V2 isnt enough cooling but a D15 is too big next logical option is a AIO. However I run into issues in the whole thing due to the orientation of the case itself.
