I think you should be able to step up to a 3080.

You can step up to any higher priced card

Yes! You just pay the difference for the higher end card :)

 

In fact Jacob at evga was even nudging people to do this if they had say, sold their old card in hopes of scoring a 3080 and couldn't so they could get their rig back up and running ASAP and get put in a line for a 3080
