In the last week I started looking into buying my little brother a "gaming" pc so he could Play Fortnite and I noticed that there are no real low end GPU that i could buy new in the market.

So I narrowed the options down to this:

GTX 1050 / TI

GTX 1060

GTX 1650

RX 560 (I cant find one)

RX 570

RX 5300 (when it comes out)

Again, all new from a box that wasnt opned before.

So the lowest I found was a 1050 for around 150$ and the rest were at list 200$ (I live in israel prices here are kinda pretty high). But thats not what Im want to say In this post. (well i Wanted to share my experience but I have something Else to say).

I wanted to ask and start a discussion around why are there no real low end GPUs in the market, Ones that cost 75$ or at most 100$ that are meant for people who just want to play Fortnite, CS:GO, overwatch or any other Esports / not very dammanding games. something that lets say would run Fortnite at 80 FPS in medium in 1080, not a starong card at all.

Now I know that the RX 560 is exactly what I said for preference but first I cant find Any for a reasanble price, and It costs at list 150$ for a New one on Amazon (with shipping) and thats a lot of money.

Edit: There is no such thing as a used GPU market here and he has a Pc with an I5 8600

That used to be the GT 1030, for a couple months after it launched ($80 msrp). Then the price skyrocketed (somehow Nvidia didn't realize that the first GT card targeted towards gamers would be super popular and didn't make that many) and it was as expensive as a GTX 1050, back when that was still current gen. Then the mining boom rekt everything, and the GT 1030 and the GTX 1050 both jumped to $150 and never came back down.

Nowadays the cheap APUs are what you get. A Ryzen 3 3200G is great for esports titles at 1080p low. True, all the graphics cards you listed are a lot better (and even the GT 1030 GDDR5 outpaces the 3400G's integrated graphics) BUT the value is pretty excellent and the performance is fine.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

So he has a PC with an I5 8600 which has the strongest intel integrated (the UHD 630) and Fortnite runs at 30 FPS in 720 at medium

so an rx550 gt1030 gtx1050 and 1050ti are good choices

if it was useful give it a like :) btw if your into linux pay a visit here

The budget GPU market basically doesn't exist right now. Nvidia and AMD are only releasing high end GPUs right now, with AMD's big navi coming soon. So, not the RX 5300.

RX 550 but the 1050 is to expinsive

Nvidia does not make 1050's anymore so yes that is why they are expensive. rx 550 is ok, dbut i would get something little better for fortnite. like rx 570 or 1650-1650 super

Barely more expensive than the cheapest GT 1030 and a little more powerful in gaming
