Pls help

Hello every one, I recently bought a 2060 super for my pc. But after installing it I had no sound comming from my headset or speaker, only from my monitor. I tried a lot of things to get the sound working again, but I still hevent made improvement. I only hear a loud beep when I plug my headphone in, and that´s just really irritating. Does someone know what to do, it would really help my out.

You need to have the sound not output through HDMI cable (my guess to why you are only getting monitor speaker sounds):

 

Control Panel

Sound

Playback tab

 

Make sure default isn't the monitors output device.

Have you forgotten to change the sound device? Click the speaker icon in the right corner and press the arrow and select your headphones?

It still doesn´t work, I´m getting really sad now because I just paid 1300 euro´s for my first self build pc. But thanks for trying

Show me a screen shot of your audio output options. I feel like you are missing something.

The reasons people dread building PC's even with all the information available on how to, is the minor issues - that still occur for System Builders - take a deep breath, its just 1s and 0s - the hardware either works, or it doesn't.  The software works, or it doesn't.  Continue to describe the issue, give us some screenshots as @Bad5ector requested etc

 

Hell I put in a new monitor last night and took me 5 minutes to remember just why it was polling at 60hz and not 144hz (a setting that I had to change embedded into Windows was the fix - for a few minutes I was like...da fuk?)

Perfect. Can you take a look on the back of your PC and make sure your headphones are plugged into the Green input/?

Try to remove the GPU?

Not that this fixes it the conventional way, but your monitor has a headphone jack, plug there and voila I hope?

yes, after that it did not have sound

TBH the way you are describing this - is that you have sound porting through HDMI.  And you need to change that setting.  What motherboard?

Looking at your screenshots again you need to DISABLE sound on your VG27A (monitor) so that it defaults to the speakers perhaps.

i don't know why that Steam Mircrophone is there

Disable it, and the monitor, does headphones from Mobo work now?

if I do that and plug it in to my pc i get this again:
