Ask because I planned to buy a DRAM SSD but already have none-DRAM one in my system, I don't want a lot of partition so I plan to run both of them in RAID1 to maximise storage capacity. This will make my new SSD run at the same speed though so I am having a second thought if it's a good idea. Don't mind too much about longevity since if it failed I will just have to reinstall my game library but lower speed will be a concern.

I bought a cheap 480GB Crucial DRAMLESS SSD,..and It affects Installing games..write speeds are slow, slower than a HDD when it gets choked.
During this REALLY SLOW 8MB/s the Drive is at 100% USAGE, you can't multitask on them AT ALL when its choked.

My Drive in Question.

Once my Crucial BX cheap ass SSD gets a couple gigs written to it, it SLOWS to 8MB/s (Yes, F'ing SLOW ASS) from 450MB/s
It will then write at 8MB/s (Writing SYSRAM to SSD Slowly) for 30-60 seconds (maybe more) and then go back to 450MB/s for like...10 SECONDs, back to 8Mb/s

Reading from this drive is Fast Always at 500-520MB/s, Writing to it Sucks ASS slowing down to a crawl......near always with heavy writes.

Updates/Patches (big ones, COD MW for example) take forever vs normal SSD's.

DON'T USE FOR GAMING (Write Speeds affected, LOCKUPS when MultiTasking in 100% USAGE Slowdown mode)

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

That and a mx500 is usually 10$ more for a 500gb drive and has not only dram but just faster flash in general. Also avoid pure qlc drives like the samsun qvo it may have dram but that thing still goes below hdd speeds when copying stuff.
