GTX 970 vs RX 470 8 GB?

I have been trying to sell my GTX 970 for 75$. Only offers are either being ghosted after me messaging them or just stupid offers (GTX 1060 3 GB with 40$ from me). One offer is a RX 470 8 GB for my 970.

What do you guys think about that? Or should I just wait to sell the 970 and try to buy a 1060 6GB (which was my plan from the beginning)?

The 470 is slower than the 970. It doesn't make sense.

The 1060 is just slightly faster than a 970, not worth putting much money into one.

Honestly there are not many cheap GPUs that are significantly faster than a 970. The first real performance uplift would come from something like a 1660 or higher. Or maybe a 980ti. But those are around $200 or slightly less.

What about a 1070? I have found some for 150-160$, I think those would be more logical.

A 1070 for $160 sounds like a good deal to me, they are more expensive where I am so I didn't really consider them. It's around 1660Super or 1660Ti performance.

Yes, these time wasters are quite annoying. Might give eBay or a similar platform a try because these people do not exist there.
