Will a b460 allow a 10600k to keep at base clock specifically the b460 mortar

Yea it will run at base clock fine, but since you can't oc, might as well get a non k part.

Yes. But I don't see the reason behind getting the 10600k over the 10600, when you won't able to overclock anyway.

Also I am only gaming and streaming so I could get a 3700x or wait for 4th gen ryzen

base clock doesn't matter. They will both run at about the same speed under load.

 

Id personally save the money and get a 10400, the performance difference is pretty small in most uses.

That doesn't matter, what matters is the all core boost clock, which for the 10600 is 4400mhz while the 10600k is 4500mhz, and frankly enough it's not worth spending 50$ for an extra 100mhz..

I would recommend waiting for zen 3 which is being announced in a week and is rumored to boost to 5ghz.
