Will i7-4790K bottleneck?

StrManHa

I have an i7-4790K and a 1060 3GB. If I were to upgrade to an RTX 3080, would I bottleneck? I plan on playing either 4k on my TV or using an Oculus Quest 2. Would I be fine keeping 4790K, or would I need to upgrade to get around 60 fps?

Also I have a 750w EVGA PSU. Would I need to upgrade that as well, or would I be fine?

We don't know yet since we don't have a reputable website or tech YouTuber do an extensive benchmark and comparison for it. Hopefully one of them still has an light grid 1150 lying around and fast DDR3 to benchmark. Everyone's benchmarking the 3080 with 9XXX and 10xxx's. Sigh.

Hopefully someone will test it, but I can't blame anyone for not testing the 3080 with a CPU from 2014.

Which one? There are many of them.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B
