I would recommend getting something better quality than that.

How old is it?

Something from Tier A or B... And 550W....That one you have is Tier D...

You still need to get a new PSU, that one is pretty bad.

The BT is a very mediocre, group regulated unit. I wouldn't pair it with a modern CPU like the 3600 and a 1070Ti.

Do you have a set budget for the PSU?

Also, sort of off topic, I'd suggest getting a 2x8GB kit instead of a single 16GB stick. Single-channel memory will impact your performance quite substantially, depending on the workload.

I would like to get away with around $50 for a psu if possible. I did the single stick of ddr4 because I might pick up a 2nd stick of 16gb if performance it hurt too much. might jump on the 2nd stick now rather than later since ram is so cheap rn

If you actually care about the PC I would raise the budget on the PSU.

And the ram plan may or may not work, more than likely not work....

Best to get a dual channel kit, matched pair.

Have to look at the actual model numbers to be sure, not just the brand.

The cheapest would be the Corsair CXM 550W and it will work...

But with the GTX 1070Ti I would go with the TXM 550W...

Yea not sure it is listed. not seen many complaints of incompatibility in the reviews tho. So will agree this one might be a hit or miss

Have to be VERY careful with the AMD based MBs and ram.... If the model isn't listed don't get it.

1 might work, it's the second one that may not and not work in dual channel mode etc.

I would return it or cancel the order and get something different.

Those low end MBs can very very picky with ram....

Can't cancel it is already shipped. If the 1st one works will order the 2nd and give it a try. If they don't work will send both these suckers back, Since I bought them from a major company no individual person will be affected so I won't feel too bad about the returns

I did decide to cancel the order for the Corsair as it was back-ordered and would have delayed my build. I聽switched to a cheaper model and ended up with the EVGA 600w bronze for around $60. I have had really good luck with EVGA power supplies in the past聽few years and seen Linus himself has been using them in his budget builds聽also
