Ubuntu file permissions

Shadow_Storm56

I just installed the most recent version of Ubuntu after my windows install corrupted. An install only lasts one year before corrupting or less but whatever. So installed Ubuntu and my file permissions are all wrong and my drives will say that the file dosen't exsist that I try to move..... Idk if it's because thoes drives were made on windows or what but it's a painnnn. Ubuntu is really nice otherwise.

Most modern linux can recognize windows drive natively.

Did you install linux and windows on the same drive?

What do you mean about corruptions?

No ubuntu is on a different drive and what I mean is somtimes windows gets unfixable problems that only fix with a reinstall or what happens most times it just one day windows fails to boot and says "you need to use recovery tools" but none will fix it and it just dead.
